Requirements

Must:
We are looking for candidates with proven experience in AWS, with certifications being a plus. A strong knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure-as-code automation is essential, along with familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (we use GitLab CI) and DevOps best practices is required. Excellent Python skills for automation are necessary, as is experience collaborating in a DevOps or squad-based culture. Strong interpersonal skills are a must, enabling you to build trust and connections within and across squads through open, honest communication. Desirable skills include familiarity with Developer Platforms and Developer Portals, knowledge of DevSecOps concepts, and experience working in a regulated environment. While qualifications are not mandatory, AWS, Terraform, or Automation certifications will be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

In this role, I will empower you to work with engineers in the Developer Platform team to identify and develop components of the platform. You will collaborate with engineers in product squads to test out potential solutions and refine them based on evidence and feedback. Supporting engineers in product squads to adopt part or all of the platform efficiently will be a priority. You will balance the needs of engineers in terms of self-service, automation, and alignment with ways of working. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime of the platform. You will define clear solutions within the team for the group to execute against, act as a trusted mentor and coach to your colleagues, advocate for compliance with engineering controls, and lead key engineering decisions in a collaborative and inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives.
