Requirements
Must:
- Strong knowledge of DB2 subsystems
- Experience in ensuring availability, resilience, and performance in production environments
- Familiarity with SMP E driven installation and upgrades
- Skills in tuning ZPARMS, buffer pools, and EDM pools
- Proficiency in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery design
- Exposure to Broadcom Platinum and SYSVIEW for DB2
- Experience with security management using RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret
- Experience with IMS installation and production DB2 or IMS DBA support is a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a critical DB2 subsystem
- Ensure the availability, resilience, and performance of the DB2 in production
- Oversee SMP E driven installation and upgrades processes
- Tune ZPARMS, buffer pools, and EDM pools for optimal performance
- Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans
- Utilize tools such as Broadcom Platinum and SYSVIEW for DB2
- Manage security protocols using RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret
- Support IMS installation and provide DBA support as needed
