Requirements
Must:
- Proven COBOL development experience within banking or financial services
- Strong hands-on experience with FIS Systematics core banking modules
- Solid skills in JCL, VSAM, CICS, and DB2
- Experience across batch and online processing
- Good understanding of SDLC and change control
- Clear communicator who works well in delivery-driven teams
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL applications within the FIS Systematics suite such as IMPACS, ALS, and ST
- Deliver scalable solutions aligned to business and technical requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production issues efficiently
- Contribute to code reviews and uphold development best practices
- Support integrations, upgrades, and system migrations
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation
- Provide production support and participate in on-call where required
Description
We are looking for experienced COBOL Developers to support and enhance our core banking platforms in London, Glasgow, or Newcastle. This is a contract role within a delivery-focused, regulated financial services environment, where you will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders.
