Must:
We are looking for a Principal/Tech Lead Full Stack Java Developer with at least 8 years of experience in Java 11/17, Spring MVC, REST APIs, and Microservices. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is essential. We also value candidates with leadership experience to drive high-impact technical decisions. This role will entail 75% hands-on coding and 25% hands-off leadership. Skills that would be a plus include Docker, Kubernetes, Cypress, Playwright, TDD, BDD, Gradle, and Tomcat.
Responsibilities
As a Principal Full Stack Java Developer, you will be directly involved in hands-on coding while also managing and guiding a dynamic development team. You will work on impactful business and mission-critical automation platforms for iconic brands, contributing to the ongoing success and scaling of our solutions. You will lead technical decision-making processes to ensure the quality and performance of our automation platforms.

We are a leading SaaS-based automation company located in Berkshire, with a hybrid work model that requires you to be in the office once a fortnight initially, moving to twice a week in March 2026 when we transition to new offices in Reading.
