Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in leading software development teams.
- Strong background in Java; familiarity or interest in Golang is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Apache Kafka is advantageous.
- Ability to migrate a monolithic architecture to a Microservices-based architecture.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentoring.
- Reside within a commutable distance to Guildford, as the position is fully onsite 5 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the development team, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
- Manage the transition from a monolithic architecture to a more modern Microservices architecture.
- Collaborate closely with the Data Analytics team to enhance technical solutions and strategies.
- Take operational leadership from the current CTO and drive the technical roadmap.
- Participate in high-level discussions about our technical stack and platform improvements.
- Engage in hands-on coding as needed, dedicating about 20% of your time to this task.
