Requirements
Must:
- Ideally, I seek candidates who are degree qualified, with proven Enterprise Architecture experience in financial services, professional services, or technology services environments.
- I expect demonstrable experience in establishing architecture governance in mid-sized organizations.
- Candidates should have experience with architecture strategies, standards, and roadmaps.
- A solid understanding of regulated environments (FCA, compliance, etc.) is essential.
- Deep expertise in Azure, including M365 ecosystem governance (Power Platform, E5 optimization, Azure integration services like Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management) is required.
- Proficiency in cloud cost management and FinOps practices is necessary.
- I also look for considerable experience in data architecture strategy development in complex, multi-system environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills are critical for success in this role, accompanied by excellent communication skills for presenting to C-suite executives and translating technical concepts into business value.
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, M365 Enterprise Administrator, Fabric Analytics Engineer, etc., are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- I will appoint a talented technology Architect who will lead the technical architecture strategy and guide the platform engineering capabilities across the organization, ensuring that our technology foundations support business growth and operational excellence.
- You will establish our first enterprise architecture function to provide strategic technology leadership for a Microsoft-centric, Azure-native estate, defining architecture strategy, governance frameworks, and driving transformation.
- You will define data architecture strategy for disparate legacy systems across numerous business lines.
- The role involves maximizing our £200k+ annual Microsoft E5 licensing investment.
- You will design the CSS portal multi-tenancy architecture, enabling US enterprise expansion.
- You will establish architecture governance appropriate for our scale and optimize Azure spend while modernizing infrastructure.
