Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in C#, WPF, WinForms, SQL, and Oracle
- Experience with Visual C#.NET and familiarity with both Oracle and SQL Server database systems
- Ability to write and maintain operational documents and user manuals
- Understanding of application development and system maintenance
- Skills in troubleshooting systems and implementing effective solutions
- Knowledge of database languages, such as T-SQL (SQL Server) and PL/SQL (Oracle)
- Experience with MS VBA for Excel and Access, MS VB, and MS Excel Macros
- Strong communication skills for liaising with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements and design application structures accordingly
- Develop and program WPF applications while performing user testing, implementation, and continuous support
- Define database objects and coordinate with SQL and Oracle Database Administrators in London and New York
- Script for database inquiry languages to analyze data based on business needs
- Set up distribution methods for systems on Citrix and application servers for web and Windows applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve system failures while ensuring smooth operation across relevant environments
- Follow team programming policies to maintain a cohesive development style among team members
- Update MS .Net Framework and Visual .NET platform versions to ensure systems run effectively in production
- Work collaboratively with support teams like Technical Support, Network and Infrastructure, and DBA to resolve user issues
- Assess data processing loads and explore alternative approaches when necessary
- Coordinate with the Release Manager to roll out changes while keeping a detailed change history of applications
