Requirements
Must:
- Degree and/or experience in a related field
- Demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge
- Ability to author and implement basic scripting and coding for automation
- Demonstrated ability to implement new technologies effectively
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a small team setting
- Consistent quality and effectiveness in work documentation and organization
- Experience with one or more of the following: Citrix, VMware, Thycotic, SCCM/MECM, Exchange, Zabbix or other enterprise monitoring systems (desirable)
- Experience working in an Agile team environment (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Lead the administration of technology by researching new technologies and proposing cost-effective solutions
- Facilitate team discussions and contribute innovative suggestions
- Design and develop complex, integrated solutions for business requirements
- Manage Windows Azure and local Hypervisor deployment and troubleshooting
- Conduct cost analyses and vendor comparisons for projects to ensure efficiency
- Evaluate feasibility of various approaches and make recommendations
- Continuously develop technical expertise in established and emerging server technologies
- Communicate effectively regarding system operations and environment changes
- Adhere to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory requirements
- Ensure all security requirements are met or exceeded
- Define team roadmap and priorities
- Develop reliable solutions for complex problems using ingenuity and creativity
- Mentor and guide less experienced IT Administrators
- Research and propose new technologies
- Troubleshoot major incidents involving multiple disciplines
- Facilitate team meetings and discussions
- Coordinate department-level non-project changes
- Manage on-call rota and complete essential maintenance and project work as required
