Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who have experience in software development and hold an HND or above in a Computing or Engineering-related subject. You should be based within a commutable distance of Norton, Worcestershire, and be willing to travel onsite to customers both in the UK and abroad.
In addition to the essential requirements, we find the following technical skills desirable:
- A strong understanding of IEC 61131-3 programming languages
- A solid knowledge of Visual Basic programming
- Experience in designing graphical user interfaces
- Familiarity with B&R automation studio is highly desirable
Responsibilities
As part of your role, you will work in a team of engineers to develop high-quality PLC software to control food manufacturing machinery. Your tasks will include the production and maintenance of requirements, design, test, and user documentation. You will be involved in system and factory testing, as well as customer site-based installation and commissioning. It will also be your responsibility to liaise with the Project Manager to deliver high-quality, structured software within agreed timeframes. Additionally, you will provide remote and onsite customer support for existing and historic machines.
