Requirements
Must:
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js
- Comfortable working across or picking up other tech as needed, including AWS and React (experience with AWS and React is a bonus)
- Enthusiasm for writing clean, tested, production-ready code
- Experience or interest in data-heavy systems, IoT, or connected devices
Responsibilities
- Building and scaling a Node.js application that is at the core of our product
- Designing and implementing new features for various sectors and use cases
- Driving improvements in code quality, architecture, and testing practices
- Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to prioritize, shape, and deliver features
- Introducing best practices and guiding our shift towards cleaner, more maintainable code
Description
We are a small but ambitious tech-for-good/IoT startup located in London City Centre, focused on developing products that make sense of massive data streams. You will join a tight-knit team of around ten people, including five engineers, and work on a genuinely greenfield platform with a modern stack and no legacy code. Our current focus is on maturing our codebase through re-architecting, refactoring, testing, and scaling. You will play a crucial role in helping us evolve from early-stage speed to long-term stability while having the freedom to influence both product direction and engineering quality.
