Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for candidates with experience in an IT support/helpdesk role (MSP preferred).
- Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
- I expect a very good understanding of Windows 10/11.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 support and administration is required.
- I need candidates with a solid understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
- Experience using an ITSM/ticketing system is necessary.
- The ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively is important.
- I require motivated self-starters who are eager to learn.
- A full UK driving license is mandatory.
- Desirable qualifications include 1-3+ years of experience for Level 1 and 3+ years for Level 2 roles, knowledge of Azure Administration, experience supporting switches, routers, and firewalls, and an A-Level or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- As an L1 or L2 IT Support Engineer, I expect you to act as the first/second-line point of contact via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- You will log, categorize, prioritize, and resolve incidents within agreed standards.
- I need you to assess and resolve issues across hardware, software, and networking.
- Offering support for Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, user admin) is part of the role.
- You will provide remote support via screen-share tools and onsite visits.
- Assisting with installations, onboarding new users, and small project tasks is essential.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, ticket notes, and asset records will be your responsibility.
- I expect you to report complex issues to the appropriate personnel.
- You will help update guides and improve services.
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times is crucial.
- Level 2 engineers will also take ownership of more complex technical issues, support server/Azure Active Directory administration, assist with solving network/switch/firewall issues, and provide guidance to Level 1 engineers as needed.
