Requirements
Must:
- Strong background in Windows Server (2016+) administration
- Experience with RedHat OpenShift
- Proficiency in Linux distributions (CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu)
- Skills in end-user device provisioning and hardening (e.g., Autopilot)
- Knowledge of Single Sign-On concepts and operations
- Experience working within protectively marked or secure environments
- Familiarity with VMware technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of general networking fundamentals
- Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Ansible)
- Experience with Kubernetes administration (e.g., VMware TKGI) is a major advantage
- Familiarity with vSphere, vCenter, VCF is a major advantage
- Experience in Azure or Microsoft 365 administration is a major advantage
- Knowledge of DevSecOps tooling and pipelines is a major advantage
- Familiarity with Nessus or similar security scanning tools is a major advantage
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Vault) is a major advantage
- Previous work in Agile sprint-based environments is a major advantage
Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and secure multi-classification virtualised environments
- Support the development and adoption of Secure-by-Design infrastructure approaches
- Assist in the delivery and support of cloud SaaS platforms and project-specific cloud systems
- Execute infrastructure maintenance through change control processes
- Monitor and manage alerting, ticketing, and incident response workflows
- Identify, diagnose, and act on system alerts and performance issues
- Ensure all systems remain patched and compliant with security policy
- Assess incidents quickly, drive service restoration, and track follow-up actions
- Analyse trends to improve system reliability and performance
- Stay current with emerging cloud, virtualisation, and security technologies
- Provide guidance and technical support to teams and stakeholders
- Document processes, share knowledge, and support business growth activities
Description
We are seeking a versatile Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role, offering a competitive salary of £80,000. Our mission is to solve complex technical challenges in a high-assurance setting. We value strong experience across modern platforms, virtualisation, cloud services, and secure environments. We are looking for UK sole nationals with UK Security Clearance to support the development of secure infrastructures.
