Requirements
Must:
- Vast experience of security concepts and technologies, including but not limited to:
- Cloud & Network Security
- Identity and Access Management
- Windows and Linux Operating Systems
- Perimeter Security
- IT Risk Management with a focus on security
- Solid understanding of security protocols, authentication, and authorization
- Implementation of security solutions
- Third-party auditing
- Project management processes (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Be the main design authority for projects and programmes
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders to realize business benefits
- Own the creation of high-level architecture, key components, and interfaces
- Create solutions for ITS customers that align with technical infrastructure requirements
- Verify that the detailed design, interfaces, and technology align with CITO strategy
- Ensure best practices for security standards are followed for all of Core Renewals projects
- Engage colleagues in other areas of DDAT to verify that the proposed design fits existing/proposed infrastructure and address any non-conformance
- Manage stakeholder understanding and expectations regarding the design, confirming functionality meets business needs
- Direct third-party resources to develop the solution, acting as a point of clarification for complex design issues
- Verify that programme/project-related knowledge is shared appropriately to drive reuse of data, processes, and technology where applicable
Description
We are a leading public sector infrastructure organization based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, currently seeking a Security Architect to join our team on a 2-year contract. This role offers hybrid working with an attractive day rate between £500 to £560 (Inside IR35). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on major cyber projects across the South East, contributing to the strategic vision of our team.
