Requirements
Must:
I require extensive experience in cloud engineering and modern software development. You should have advanced knowledge of Azure services across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models, along with proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash. A deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is essential. You need to be skilled in cloud networking, performance optimisation, and monitoring/logging tools. A strong background in software architecture, testing (both manual and automated), and security best practices is necessary, along with a proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver enterprise-scale solutions. I also look for a passion for continuous learning and innovation in cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to lead the design, build, testing, and support of secure, scalable Azure-based cloud services. You will define and promote best practices in automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code. You will provide expert guidance on software engineering, cloud architecture, and test automation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams on cloud-native development and delivery is key, as well as evaluating and implementing emerging technologies, including AI and advanced analytics. You will oversee engineering governance and technical standards across transformation and operational projects, as well as mentor engineers to ensure alignment with technical standards, security, and delivery objectives.
