Requirements
Must:
- Experience working with large datasets to support analytics, experimentation, or training
- Background in data engineering, computer science, data analytics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Familiarity with data processing tools and pipelines (e.g. SQL, Python, ETL tools, cloud technologies)
- Strong IT skills and a proactive approach to learning new tools and technologies
- Ability to understand customer challenges and contribute to practical, data-driven solutions
- Strong collaboration skills with a positive, adaptable mindset
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Apache Superset, or Jupyter
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to support analytics, experimentation, and decision-making
- Integrate new data sources, ensuring data is accurate, structured, and accessible to internal teams and customers
- Support the development of data models, documentation, and data warehouse solutions
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and delivery teams to align data systems with customer requirements
- Contribute to data quality, monitoring, and automation, continuously improving platform performance
- Assist with data analysis, visualisation, and ad-hoc investigations to support customer insight
- Participate in troubleshooting, technical discussions, and customer-facing demonstrations
- Engage with partners across the defence data ecosystem, supporting knowledge sharing and innovation
