Must:
We require candidates to have or be able to obtain security clearance at DV clearance level. Before applying, please check your eligibility; this clearance demands you have been a permanent resident in the UK for the last 10 years without any breaks, along with fulfilling other specific conditions. We also expect a strong foundation in Computer Science or Systems Engineering with a BSc degree—no alternatives will be accepted. Candidates must possess software development skills in Rust and ideally have familiarity with Go; while knowledge in Go is not mandatory, a willingness to learn is essential. Solid expertise in Linux network programming, protocol implementation, and exceptional knowledge of Linux networking fundamentals at layers 2-4 is mandatory.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Developer, you will drive the development of an original Linux-based network security appliance. You will take ownership of the security software and systems development process within our technology organization, which has a thriving history of providing security solutions to regulated industries rooted in government projects for over 15 years. You will engage with passionate company leaders on project work that holds significant social value, while also being technically interesting and demanding. We encourage self-development and growth among a highly engaged team, where quality is paramount.
Description
The package we offer for the Senior Software Developer role includes a salary of up to £110,000, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a benefits package that includes a professional development budget, private healthcare, wellness support, and flexible hybrid working arrangements, allowing you to work from the Worcestershire office anywhere from 5 days a week to monthly, based on your preference.
