Requirements
Must:
- Relevant IT qualification (e.g., NVQ, Microsoft certifications or equivalent experience)
- ITIL Foundation qualification (beneficial but not essential)
- Strong technical knowledge of core end-user and infrastructure technologies (Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Azure Entra ID)
- Understanding of patching and security principles
- Exposure to Intune, networking and IP protocols, Windows Server, and cybersecurity best practices
- Experience in IT support (2nd/3rd line)
- Proven track record of troubleshooting Windows OS and supporting Microsoft 365 environments
- Proficient with ITSM tools for incident and service request management
- Experience with network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs)
- Familiarity with antivirus solutions and remote support tools (ideally Bomgar)
- Strong analytical and solution-focused mindset
- Excellent communication skills for non-technical users
- Highly organized with effective prioritization skills
- Strong customer focus
- Flexible and adaptable approach to role
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Responsibilities
- Act as a central point of contact for IT-related service requests across multiple UK sites
- Diagnose and resolve complex 2nd and 3rd line technical issues efficiently and within agreed SLAs
- Provide technical guidance and support to the IT Service Desk team
- Manage and maintain tickets in the ITSM system, ensuring compliance with SLAs
- Deliver excellent customer service and ensure all requests are completed to a high standard
- Support and maintain accurate Asset and Configuration Management records
- Build, configure, and deploy PCs, laptops, and network equipment
- Install, configure, and support user hardware and software as per organizational standards
- Adhere to IT policies and security standards
- Travel to sites for on-site support, including break-fix and project work
- Support IT security processes like user access management and device compliance
- Provide administration and support for Microsoft 365 services
- Maintain accurate technical documentation
- Contribute to IT projects such as system upgrades and service improvements
- Identify trends or recurring issues to enhance service reliability

Foursynergy Group is seeking an IT Support Engineer to deliver high-quality technical support to over 500 users.
