Requirements
Must:
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS (including Tailwind CSS) and proven ability to create fluid, responsive interfaces.
- Experience delivering WordPress websites that match design specifications and perform to high standards.
- Solid understanding of PHP and WordPress hooks/filters.
- Ability to self-manage tasks and priorities across multiple projects.
- Confident working with Figma for interpreting designs.
- Experience with Git/version control.
- Understanding of UX, accessibility, and usability best practices.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of development from design handover through to deployment, ensuring quality, functionality, and deadlines are met.
- Translate designs into responsive, high-performance websites and applications – primarily in WordPress, but also in HubSpot CMS and other platforms when required.
- Scope and plan projects effectively, breaking down designs into development requirements and estimating timescales.
- Write clean, maintainable, pixel-perfect code with a strong eye for detail.
- Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and clients, spotting challenges early and suggesting smart solutions.
- Manage QA, bug fixing, content population, CMS training, and client handovers.
- Contribute ideas on improving workflows, exploring AI tools, and adopting new web technologies.
