Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with strong hands-on experience in Odoo development, particularly with custom modules and ORM. You should have solid Python skills and experience with PostgreSQL. A good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML/QWeb templates, is essential. You should also have experience with REST/JSON APIs and system integrations, and be comfortable working on Linux servers and using Git.
Additionally, while not mandatory, it would be nice to have experience in retail, wholesale, stock, or logistics environments. Familiarity with integrating Odoo with e-commerce platforms (such as Magento) and knowledge of Odoo.sh or other deployment pipelines would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will shape and deliver our Odoo ERP roadmap across multiple companies. You will configure and customize Odoo applications (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, POS, Helpdesk, and Website) and design automations and workflows that streamline day-to-day operations. Another key aspect of your work will be to integrate Odoo with various e-commerce, payment systems, and other business systems through APIs. You will also maintain code quality, documentation, and version control using Git, support users, investigate issues, and continuously work to improve the system.

At Floor Giants, we are a fast-growing national flooring retailer with over 11 stores and an expanding e-commerce channel, alongside our wholesale brand, Evergreen Floors. We are investing in Odoo as our core ERP to connect retail, wholesale, warehouse, and online operations into one integrated platform. We are seeking an in-house Odoo Developer to own and drive our Odoo ERP roadmap, working closely with directors and key stakeholders at our Derby head office. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary range of £35,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year. We offer several benefits, including an employee discount, on-site parking, and store discounts. The work location is in person.
