Requirements
Must:
- Strong knowledge of IT systems – can manage computer rules (GPO), control access to files/folders, keep systems secure, handle certificates, manage IP settings (DHCP), and fix website/server lookup issues (DNS).
- Confident working with Active Directory (AD) – can set it up, make changes, move it to new servers, and fix user or system problems.
- Good at maintaining and fixing computers – can troubleshoot and resolve most issues on staff workstations.
- Good understanding of networking – including routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, network protocols, and fibre connections.
- Understands virtualization – experience using virtual machines and managing virtual environments.
- Experienced with backup systems – can set up, manage, and ensure backups run smoothly.
- Experience managing firewall settings – can configure and maintain firewall rules and security.
Responsibilities
- Respond to client IT support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues.
- Manage and update support tickets, escalating complex issues appropriately.
- Assist with IT installations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to ensure timely resolution.
- Contribute to maintaining a knowledge base and technical documentation.
