Requirements
Must:
- A Level or equivalent standard of education (desirable)
- Experience working in IT operations
- Experience in Cisco configuration (or alternative)
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience leading and managing event/greenfield site IT projects
- Stakeholder management experience
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations best practices, including security, network and systems administration, databases, and data storage systems
- Leadership and management skills (essential)
- Strong verbal communication skills (essential)
- Excellent organization and time management skills (essential)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines (essential)
- Numerate and literate with attention to detail (essential)

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of the Company IT and Comms planning, including Business Continuity
- Project manage all Company and event IT projects, encompassing feasibility assessments, system updates, upgrades, and risk management
- Oversee the installation of IT infrastructure at events
- Develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the organization
- Oversee training for new and existing staff and volunteers on systems and software
- Ensure compliance with software licensing laws
- Lead on GDPR policy and practices for the Group
- Conduct regular system audits and checks on network and data security, ensuring adequate backup procedures and organizing regular penetration testing
- Identify, propose, and deliver opportunities to improve and update software and systems
- Design and deliver training programs and workshops for staff and volunteers in conjunction with the HR Manager
- Lead on appropriate usage of AI within the business
- Manage external stakeholder relationships with IT providers
- Manage IP Telephony systems
- Lead a team, including volunteers, employees, and consultants, to plan and deliver event infrastructure
- Responsible for the Infrastructure Continual Improvement Process within IT & Comms
