As a Class 1 shunter driver, your key responsibilities will include:
- Shuttling trailers between the main site and off-site parking locations.
- Ensuring the safe and timely transportation of trailers.
- Performing daily vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Complying with all transport regulations and our company policies.
Description
We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 shunter driver to join our team on a full-time basis, with flexibility to work 4 to 5 out of 7 days. You will work on-site with one of our clients, a well-known parcel delivery company. Our typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, with start times varying from 4 PM onwards. The pay rate starts at £21.24 per hour and increases to £23.80 after 12 weeks. We offer competitive pay, ongoing work opportunities with a reputable client, and a supportive working environment. Benefits include: - Free parking - On-site parking Expected hours are around 25 per week, with a possibility of 10-hour shifts and weekend availability. We prefer candidates with at least 1 year of class 1 shunting experience, and relevant licenses and certifications such as a driving license and Driver CPC are preferred. You will be expected to work in person.
