Requirements
Must:
- Achievement of an appropriate professional qualification (e.g., MOS Master Instructor, TAP, IITT membership) or at least 3 years experience delivering legal IT training in a professional environment
- Experience in leading and supporting peers in a non-managerial capacity
- Significant experience developing training programs and materials
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and enhance the training teams reputation
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage partners, fee earners, and support staff at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone to suit the audience
- Flexible, customer-focused approach with initiative in resolving issues
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail and strong administrative skills
- Ability to work autonomously while knowing when to seek direction
- Passion for assisting and developing others
- Willingness to travel to other locations to deliver training where necessary
- Knowledge of a Learning Management System and various IT tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 11, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Act as a senior resource within the IT Training Team, providing guidance and support to IT Trainers
- Assist the IT Training Manager in planning team resources for business-as-usual activities, upskilling weeks, and rollouts
- Review and improve firm-wide onboarding programs for new joiners, ensuring alignment with firm-wide standards and objectives
- Support the design and delivery of complex training programs for major rollouts or strategic initiatives
- Contribute ideas to initiatives, innovations, and process improvements
- Deliver effective and professional training to upskill colleagues across the firm
- Design appropriate training solutions and support the delivery for new or updated software or systems
- Provide at-desk application support or remote assistance as necessary
- Create and maintain documentation or videos supporting induction courses or upskilling programs
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of existing technologies and learn new systems or improvements
- Analyze own training quality and effectiveness to support evolving business requirements
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, managing course bookings, and updating training records
- Support the IT Service Desk Team in resolving queries referred to the training team
