Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a React Developer with at least 3 years of commercial experience in React. A strong foundation in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 is essential. You should have experience working with APIs and state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar). Additionally, a good understanding of UX and UI design principles and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly are crucial. Experience in agile environments using Git workflows is also required.
Nice to have: Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library), design systems, or cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be involved in building responsive components in React using TypeScript and modern JavaScript. You will integrate with RESTful APIs and collaborate closely with back-end developers. Working with QA and product teams, you’ll deliver features that enhance user experience. Additionally, you will apply strong UX and UI principles to create intuitive and engaging interfaces. Your input will be valued as you suggest improvements, refactor when needed, and help reduce technical debt. You will also participate in design discussions and agile ceremonies.
Description
This position is an 18-month fixed-term contract based near Newport Pagnell, with a hybrid work setup requiring 2 to 3 days in the office (a car is necessary due to the rural location). You must have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to provide sponsorship. We offer a competitive salary along with a performance-related bonus and a 5% employer pension contribution. Additionally, you will enjoy 24 days of holiday, plus your birthday off, with increasing days based on your length of service.
