Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for someone with 5+ years in BI, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering, including proven experience leading a team.
- You should have deep working knowledge of Power BI and Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.).
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence to communicate insights to senior stakeholders are essential.
- I need someone who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical delivery in a fast-paced SME environment.
- Experience in retail tech, SaaS, or other data-driven product businesses would be an advantage.
- A solid grasp of data governance, integration, and best practices in visualization is required.
- I am seeking a curious, critical thinker who can influence at all levels.
- Ideally, you will have experience working in retail or technology-driven SaaS environments.
- You must be eligible to live and work in the UK without restrictions.
Responsibilities
- As the BI Lead, you will lead and develop a small team of BI Analysts, setting direction, priorities, and standards for delivery.
- You will take full ownership of the BI roadmap, ensuring that insight and analytics underpin every operational and commercial decision.
- Building and refining Power BI dashboards and Azure data models to turn complex retail data into actionable stories will be a key focus.
- You will explore automation and practical AI tools that save time and sharpen decision-making.
- Collaborating across software, commercial, and operations teams to align BI with the company’s wider technology roadmap will be part of your role.
Description
I am offering a hybrid role, typically requiring 2-3 days in the office near Newport Pagnell, close to J14 of the M1. Due to the location, a car and driving license are essential.
