Requirements
Must:
- Strong knowledge of Databricks and Performant SQL is mandatory.
- Previous experience as a Data Engineer in a delivery-focused environment.
- Excellent understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including testing and delivery in an agile environment.
- Experience analysing complex business problems and designing effective technical solutions.
- Proficiency in ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and data lake solutions.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Ideally, some knowledge of testing and finance-related projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Data Architects and Data team to determine technical delivery and functionality.
- Design data solutions focused on optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Create, optimize, and maintain logical and physical data models, including data warehouses and data lakes.
- Design and manage the data integration process.
- Mentor, train, and coach team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Actively contribute as a member of the agile team.
- Work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts to understand the data needs of the business.
Description
We are an expanding SaaS product company looking for several Senior Data Engineers as we continue to grow. In these hands-on roles, you will be crucial in designing, creating, deploying, and managing our data assets. You will also guide and influence other members of the data engineering team to write excellent quality, clean, and high-performing code. This is an excellent opportunity to join our company as it expands its data team. You will leverage both your technical and soft skills to contribute to the further development of our data team. This role is home-based with one day a month at our office in Nottingham, and you can expect a salary in the range of £60,000 - £70,000 plus benefits.
