Must:
To be considered for the Back End Developer position, I need you to have:
- Significant experience developing back-end systems for production applications.
- Proven expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, including usage within serverless architectures.
- Strong experience designing secure, performant APIs and data models.
- Experience managing PostgreSQL databases, including schema design and optimization.
Responsibilities
As a Back End Developer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and running secure, scalable backend services that power our web applications.
- Developing APIs and data models, integrating systems, and elevating our services to ensure they are world-class.
- Developing and maintaining REST APIs over serverless functions using TypeScript.
- Designing and implementing scalable PostgreSQL schemas and data models.
- Connecting to external services, such as video conferencing, messaging, and payment platforms.
- Supporting our robust security infrastructure through best practices.
- Collaborating with front-end developers and product managers to deliver cohesive and user-focused solutions.
- Occasionally traveling to our London-based head office and other locations across the UK.
