Requirements
Must:
- Significant experience of building and analysing Power BI solutions using a modern data platform
- Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working with data in a public sector or complex organisational environment
- Ability to communicate data insight clearly to a range of audiences
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain Business Intelligence solutions
- Support operational management, service planning and strategic decision making
- Develop, maintain and automate Power BI dashboards and reports
- Analyse complex datasets and present insights in a clear and meaningful way
- Ensure data is accurate, consistent and well understood
- Assess business intelligence requirements and develop suitable solutions
- Contribute to projects that improve how data is used across the organisation
- Participate in technical design, project documentation and delivery
- Manage and coordinate workloads within the Business Intelligence team
- Provide technical advice and support as required
- Work in partnership with services on Council-wide initiatives related to Business Intelligence and data use
Description
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Data Analyst to join Falkirk Councils new corporate data team. Our team supports services across the Council in using data and insight to enhance service delivery and outcomes. You will collaborate with Service Chief Officers and Managers, and become an integral part of our initiatives to optimize data use throughout the organization.
