Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Test Automation Lead or Engineering Manager in a consultancy or enterprise environment
- Demonstrated ability to see and understand the big picture and translate it into actionable Test Automation strategies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and team development
- Experience working in banking/mortgages/savings/insurance
- Strong background in Test Automation with hands-on experience in: Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Contract Testing, Gherkin, SAST using Veracode
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach cross-functional feature teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
- Conduct Test engineering maturity assessments and provide actionable recommendations
- Develop and implement a playbook to standardise Test Automation practices and tooling
- Drive continuous improvement and embed best practices across teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical delivery with business goals
- Support the upskilling and coaching of engineering teams to enhance Test Automation capability
Description
We are FDM, a global business and technology consultancy, seeking a Test Automation Practice Lead for our client in the professional services sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend, and it will be a hybrid role based in Radbroke (Manchester) or Glasgow.
