Contractor Responsible Engineer (CRE)

As a CRE, you will oversee design and construction, manage technical risks, and coordinate with the project client to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, ensuring the reliable delivery of our customers' products and solutions. Core responsibilities include: - Project Oversight: Oversee all engineering activities within a specific discipline, including design, installation, and commissioning. - Design Management: Manage the design process, coordinate designs, conduct reviews, and approve design documentation to ensure it meets project scope and standards. - Compliance and Standards: Ensure all engineering work complies with safety regulations, client requirements, industry standards, and legislation. - Risk Management: Identify and manage technical risks, ensuring they are appropriately assessed and mitigated with a plan. Track risks to ensure adherence to or updates of mitigation plans. - Technical Leadership: Act as the main point of contact for technical issues, providing expert advice and resolving concerns. - Team and Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, project managers, designers, subcontractors, and other multi-disciplinary teams for seamless project delivery. - Quality Assurance: Monitor construction activities, conduct inspections, and perform quality checks to ensure the final product meets required specifications. - Documentation: Prepare, review, and accept all necessary engineering documentation, ensuring the project has a complete suite of evidence supporting product design, build, and delivery. Successful candidates may be required to work on our customer site 2-3 days per week, primarily in Cheadle and Central London, with some limited travel to the Birmingham area.
