Must:
We require demonstrated experience as an Infrastructure Engineer in project-based environments, particularly with the ability to build from structured documentation. You should possess a solid technical background across enterprise infrastructure, with strong VMware/vSphere experience. It’s important for you to be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, proactively resolving issues and identifying root causes. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively within technical teams and with wider stakeholders. You should have clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, and exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and documentation precisely. Previous experience working with large government clients or in secure environments is also a must. Lastly, we appreciate a positive, can-do attitude with a solution-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to build and configure VMware ESX hosts according to detailed build guides within the project deployment environment. You will also be responsible for installing hardware onsite, including racking and cabling activities as required. Providing remote support during hardware testing phases to assist with technical validation will be part of your duties, as well as engaging with internal service teams to ensure successful handover and support of newly deployed hardware. Additionally, you will need to deliver regular updates on progress and issues to the Project Manager and team leads, while also being available for occasional out-of-hours work due to the nature of customer operations.
