Head of IT and Cybersecurity

In this high-impact role, you will build, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. Your responsibilities include assessing internal capability gaps and engaging third-party experts, consultants, and managed service providers to deliver specialized solutions. You will develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR). Proactively monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches will be part of your duties, as well as leading incident response and forensic investigations. Conducting regular security audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments to implement corrective actions will be required to strengthen our defenses. You will oversee various security measures such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, encryption, and secure access controls. Ensuring compliance with data protection laws and maintaining robust security policies and training programs will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will design, optimize, and maintain a scalable, high-performance IT infrastructure, lead network upgrades, hardware/software deployments, and disaster recovery planning. Evaluating and integrating emerging technologies (AI, automation, zero-trust frameworks) to enhance operational efficiency and cost savings will also be part of your responsibilities. You will need to identify and implement technology-driven business improvements and partner with leadership to align IT transformation initiatives with long-term organizational goals. Finally, you will manage ERP systems, cloud migrations, and enterprise software solutions to ensure seamless integration and ROI, negotiate vendor contracts, SLAs, and procurement to ensure cost-effectiveness and service excellence.
