Requirements
Must:
- Proven IDAM knowledge and hands-on experience integrating with at least one IDAM platform (e.g., ForgeRock, Okta, Azure AD, Auth0, One Identity)
- Strong Java back-end development skills (Spring Boot, Hibernate or similar)
- CI/CD pipeline experience, especially with Jenkins
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and modern deployment pipelines
- Proficient in Git version control and Agile delivery (Jira/Confluence)
- Experience in reverse engineering/troubleshooting existing services and integrations
- Ability to collaborate closely with a team while also working independently and taking ownership
- Active, transferable SC clearance is required
Responsibilities
- Design and build robust, scalable back-end services in a cloud-based environment
- Deliver features and continuous improvements alongside incident/support work
- Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions
- Work in an Agile squad (stand-ups, planning, retrospectives) and own Jira tickets end-to-end
- Support integration of large-scale components within a wider web application ecosystem
- Contribute to incident and change management to maintain service reliability
- Support and mentor others, sharing knowledge and influencing engineering best practices
- Participate in out-of-hours support (once per month, Mon–Sat)
Description
We are looking for a Senior Back-End Java Developer with strong Identity & Access Management (IDAM) experience to join our Agile engineering team dedicated to enhancing and supporting a large-scale IDAM service. This role offers the opportunity to modernize our platform onto Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), improving its reliability, security, and delivery pipelines. This is a full-time contract role, with remote working options available for UK-based candidates, offering £525 per day inside IR35.
