Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience as an Application Support Developer or in a support-led development role
- Comfort working on bug fixing, tickets, and small fixes rather than large feature builds
- Experience supporting live production systems
- Confidence debugging legacy code and mixed technology stacks
- Strong SQL skills for investigation and fixes
- Calm, methodical approach to problem solving
- Experience supporting systems within an online retail or e-commerce environment is beneficial but not essential
Responsibilities
- Work in a Kanban style environment, picking up tickets raised through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support
- Investigate, fix, and resolve issues in multiple applications
- Debug and fix production issues
- Make small targeted code changes
- Support and maintain multiple applications
- Investigate data and reporting issues
- Collaborate closely with support teams and other developers
- Prioritize issues based on customer impact and trading risk
- Ensure fixes are delivered safely into live systems
Description
We are a technology team responsible for maintaining and supporting a large, business-critical application estate that underpins a high-volume online retail operation. We offer a hybrid working pattern with 2 days per week onsite in West Yorkshire, a competitive salary of up to £65,000, a £6,000 car allowance, and up to a 10% bonus. This is a true application support role focused on resolving bugs and improving system stability.
