Requirements
Must:
- Strong SQL Server database administration experience
- Good Azure experience, ideally including Azure SQL
- Experience supporting live production systems
- Sound understanding of performance tuning, backup and recovery, and database monitoring
- Practical and thoughtful approach to problem solving
- Ability to manage priorities and work well in a support-focused environment
- Exposure to Oracle is helpful, but not a main requirement
Responsibilities
- Support SQL Server database environments in day-to-day operations
- Monitor database performance, health, and availability
- Investigate and resolve database related incidents and issues
- Carry out maintenance, patching, and configuration work
- Support backup, recovery, and resilience processes
- Contribute to service improvement and database reliability over time
Description
At Exalto Consulting, we are currently seeking a Database Administrator to join our well-established IT and digital function in Manchester. This hybrid role offers a competitive salary of up to £49,000 and requires participation in an on-call rota. Occasional travel may be necessary.
