Requirements
Must:
- Experience building and configuring Windows laptops in a corporate environment
- A practical understanding of security and compliance standards
- Confidence managing build tools, imaging solutions, and deployment workflows
- A methodical approach and an eye for detail
- Strong communication skills and a people-focused attitude
- The ability to work onsite in Halifax three days per week
Responsibilities
- Building, configuring, and maintaining laptops to agreed standards
- Ensuring devices remain secure, compliant, and fully patched
- Troubleshooting build issues and resolving them promptly
- Supporting ongoing improvements to imaging and deployment processes
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure users receive well-built, reliable devices
- Managing and documenting build procedures and updates
Description
We are Exalto Consulting, supporting a well-established organisation in Halifax that values secure and reliable devices to enhance productivity. We are seeking a hands-on Laptop Build Engineer for a contract role of 3-6 months, working three days a week onsite in Halifax. This position is centered around maintaining and ensuring the quality and security of our laptop estate. Youll be part of a supportive team that prides itself on delivering high-quality laptop builds and directly impacting the efficiency of our workforce.
