Must:
I am looking for a candidate with extensive experience in software development, particularly in an architect or technical lead role. You should have proven expertise in designing and implementing high-performance, scalable e-commerce platforms. Strong programming skills in C#, Java, .NET, and JavaScript (specifically AngularJS and jQuery) are essential. Experience with API development (SOAP, RESTful, LDAP) and data exchange using XML/JSON is required. Additionally, you should have knowledge of relational (MS SQL Server) and document-oriented (Oracle Endeca) databases, and expertise in secure web and API development, including OWASP best practices, encryption, and authentication protocols. Familiarity with caching mechanisms, performance optimization, and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Jenkins, Selenium) is also important.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to define, document, and implement technical architectures for new e-commerce applications and features. Your focus will be on ensuring scalability, security, and performance across the e-commerce ecosystem, which includes managing APIs and databases. You will lead the selection of technologies for new applications and features and provide technical leadership and mentorship to our software engineers. Additionally, you will oversee the integration of third-party services such as payment gateways, ERP/CRM systems, analytics, and digital marketing platforms. Working closely with digital experience owners, UX designers, and business teams, you will align technology with our business objectives.
Description
This position is based in West Yorkshire and offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring you to be in the office two days a week. The salary for this role ranges from £62,000 to £82,000, alongside a bonus and excellent benefits.
