Requirements
Must:
- Experience with cloud platforms (primarily AWS; Azure desirable) and cloud cost management tools
- Strong understanding of FinOps principles and delivering cloud cost efficiencies
- Knowledge of cloud pricing models, billing, and core infrastructure services
- Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost models
- Confidence working with Finance, Procurement, Engineering, and SRE stakeholders
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with tagging and cost attribution best practices (Desirable)
- FinOps Foundation certification (or willingness to work towards)
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or similar
Responsibilities
- Analysing cloud spend to identify trends, anomalies, and cost-saving opportunities, driving optimisation initiatives with engineering teams
- Supporting project inception and delivery to ensure infrastructure is designed and forecasted cost-effectively
- Developing reporting, forecasts, and variance analysis to support budgeting and decision-making
- Tracking usage, tagging compliance, and improving cost visibility, accountability, and transparency
- Contributing to FinOps governance, training, vendor negotiations, and promoting cost-aware practices across Engineering and SRE
