Must:
We’re looking for someone with an ISTQB certification and/or a BSc in Computer Science (or equivalent experience). You should have at least 4 years of hands-on test automation experience, including 1 year in a lead role. Proven experience in defining and implementing automation frameworks in Agile/DevOps environments is essential. A strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices is required. You should be proficient in Java, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and JUnit5 (or similar). Knowledge of SQL, JSON, API testing, and CI/CD integration is also necessary, along with exposure to AWS, Oracle, RabbitMQ, and S3 buckets. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor others and influence teams to adopt best practices and enhance test quality, are crucial.
Responsibilities
As our Automation Test Lead, you will take ownership of designing, implementing, and improving automated test processes across our technology teams. You’ll ensure software quality, stability, and continuous improvement throughout the delivery lifecycle. You’ll lead on test strategy, mentor junior testers, and champion an automate-first, shift-left approach across our squads. Your role will involve:
- Leading and evolving automation test processes across Evri Technology, ensuring consistent integration in every squad.
- Championing a shift-left, automate-first mindset by identifying opportunities to test earlier and reduce defects.
- Collaborating with developers, product teams, and automation engineers to align testing practices and ensure quality is a top priority.
- Maintaining and improving test documentation, ensuring knowledge is shared and embedded across the organization.
- Developing and monitoring KPIs to measure and enhance software quality and delivery performance.
- Coaching, guiding, and line managing testers while supporting their professional growth and capability development.
- Staying ahead of industry trends by introducing new testing tools, techniques, and automation approaches.
- Ensuring robust test data management while exposing dependencies and maintaining test environments effectively.
- Contributing to test guilds and forums, sharing knowledge, and promoting consistency in test practices.
