Must:
We are looking for individuals who are degree qualified or possess equivalent experience in an IT-related field. You should have experience in system operation or application support within a live environment, and be familiar with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow. A working knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, CloudWatch) is essential. Additionally, experience in writing and executing SQL scripts, along with a confident use of command line interfaces and an understanding of system behavior, is required. Awareness of ITIL processes and SLAs, as well as familiarity with collaboration and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence, is also important for this role.
Responsibilities
As an Application Support Analyst, I will need you to monitor and log application events, system failures, and alerts across business-critical IT systems. You will provide first-line support and incident resolution, escalating issues only when necessary. Your role involves triaging and troubleshooting unexpected alerts using leading monitoring tools like AppDynamics and AWS CloudWatch. You will support system access, service restarts, and essential monthly maintenance tasks. Additionally, you will maintain and update our internal Knowledge Base with repeat procedures and known fixes. You will contribute to weekly feedback loops, identifying recurring issues and opportunities for continuous improvement. I expect you to act as the single point of IT support out-of-hours, handling user access requests and high-priority incidents, and collaborating with Duty Managers to ensure timely and effective communication on live issues.
