Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure IaaS VMs, PaaS databases, and App Services.
- Experience in implementing new Cloud-native services.
- Understanding of Azure networking, EntraID, and Cloud security principles.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a Cloud/Infrastructure Support role.
- Proficiency in supporting Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and Azure AD.
- Good exposure to supporting Remote Access Solutions (e.g., VPN, Cloudflare, Azure VDI).
- Experience with anti-virus solutions.
- Understanding of networking protocols (IP routing) and principles of network traffic, including TCP/IP, DNS, and networking technologies.
- Solid knowledge of Backup and Restore technologies.
- Experience supporting Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
- Ability to act as a technical escalation point for junior colleagues.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple streams of work simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Implement IT Infrastructure services as part of our strategic IT roadmap or business-led projects.
- Play an active role in our adoption of Cloud technologies, including Infrastructure as Code.
- Share management of the lifecycle of IT Infrastructure Services, ensuring they are effectively designed, safely deployed, securely maintained, and properly retired.
- Provide day-to-day support for Cloud Infrastructure, including server, storage, and network components.
- Support Infrastructure Services and Tools such as Active Directory, File & Print services, and Exchange.
- Maintain effective relationships with extended technical partners in the management of IT services, fostering a collaborative and transparent culture.
- Serve as an efficient escalation path for junior IT Infrastructure and Desktop Support team members.
- Ensure IT assets are maintained in the IT Asset register as per requirements.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of problems, taking ownership of identification and implementation of improvement opportunities.
- Ensure all tasks align with quality standards, such as ISO27001, to maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Ensure compliance with legal and policy requirements regarding health and safety.
