Requirements
Must:
- Substantial experience in a Product Owner role with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) expertise.
- Domain experience in Inventory Management is essential.
- In-depth understanding of the Agile (SAFe or Scrum) methodology with a strong technical understanding of product development.
- Detailed experience in the Discovery phase of new product development.
- Clear expertise in managing product roadmaps, product backlogs, release planning, and market analysis.
- Ability to build strong relationships with peers, software development/testing teams, and internal/external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders on new software features and products.
- Proactively evaluate feature ideas and enhancements to form a prioritized roadmap.
- Manage the product backlog to ensure that Scrum teams always have a minimum of two sprints' worth of work prepared, producing high-quality written features and user stories.
- Plan releases and help to build and maintain burn-up charts to track delivery and timeline estimates.
- Adopt a user-centered approach to market analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement.
Description
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to take responsibility for the delivery of a new complex and responsive software product across web and mobile platforms. This role requires strong experience in an Agile/SAFe/Scrum software development environment and an expert understanding of user-centered design. The successful candidate will act as a champion for these approaches, working collaboratively across all development and testing teams, as well as with external suppliers. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to prioritize effectively are of paramount importance. The position is hybrid-based in Manchester, offering a competitive salary of up to £50k plus benefits.
