Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in a standalone IT role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, and SharePoint (desirable).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrable experience in managing system transitions, including training.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Responsibilities
*Technical Operations & User Support*
- Manage IT onboarding, hardware setup, system configuration, and inductions.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to minimize downtime.
- Oversee core network services.
*Infrastructure & Systems Management*
- Maintain all IT infrastructure: servers, networks, cybersecurity, storage, and backups.
- Manage system permissions, domain administration, and email signature tools.
- Handle hardware procurement, asset lifecycle, and recycling within budget.
- Evaluate and manage IT suppliers for value and performance.
*Governance, Compliance & Security*
- Develop and enforce IT policies to improve efficiency, security, and scalability.
- Manage data protection, access control, and compliance processes.
- Maintain robust backup and recovery procedures.
*Training & User Engagement*
- Deliver training to support the adoption of new technologies.
- Promote digital literacy and user confidence.
*Strategic Development*
- Work with the Business Analyst on systems development and integration.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and IT improvements.
- Provide guidance on in-house versus outsourced IT support models.
Description
We are a transformative company based in Manchester and are experiencing a phase of exciting business growth. We are looking for someone who is hands-on and can lead our IT team effectively. This position offers working hours from Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), but part-time options will be considered.
