Must:
We are seeking an individual with a deep knowledge of model risk governance and familiarity with PRA SS1/23 expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience defining documentation standards and templates. Additionally, the ability to produce gold standard examples and strong stakeholder engagement and training capabilities are crucial. Prior experience with similar banks is preferred.
Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst/Model Documentation Specialist, you will support Model Documentation by defining gold standard documentation across the Finance model lifecycle, which includes:
- Model Developer Document
- Model Business Case
- Model Approval Report
- Model Implementation Report
- Model User Documentation
- Model Retirement Plan
You will also explore options for improving and standardising the model documentation approach and mobilising the Finance & Treasury model developer forum. A key desired outcome is to establish a minimum standard for Finance & Treasury model documentation. You will assist in identifying all documentation artefacts to be produced as part of the Finance Model Lifecycle and define best practice documentation templates for each model type while aligning with POCs across other workstreams to create Finance Gold Standard examples of documentation artefacts.
Description
This role is based in London and is hybrid, with an expectation of a minimum of 1-2 days per week on-site. This initial contract lasts for six months, with the potential for extension to include training for Model Owners and Developers, as well as embedding the documentation templates into Business As Usual (BAU) operations. The Finance & Treasury functions assess existing model risk practices and identify areas for improvement in response to the PRAs Supervisory Statement SS1/23, which requires banks to enhance governance, oversight, and control of model risk. The improvement programme will include key initiatives: Model Implementation, Model Monitoring, and Model Documentation, which serve as foundational pillars for compliance with PRA SS1/23 expectations.
