Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of cloud full-stack development experience
- 2+ years in a Senior or Lead Developer role
- Proven experience managing and mentoring developers
- Strong enterprise cloud architecture background
- Comfortable working hands-on within the code
- Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, C# (.NET)
- Frontend: React, TypeScript
- Data: Strong SQL, MongoDB (or equivalent NoSQL)
- Azure (App Services, Azure Batch – production experience)
- Azure DevOps (CI/CD, repos, pipelines, boards)
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture across Node.js, React, and .NET
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to developers
- Design scalable SQL and NoSQL data solutions
- Drive performance, scalability, and cost-effective cloud architecture
- Produce technical designs, prototypes, and architectural decisions
- Produce clear documentation
- Collaborate closely with algorithms and data processing teams
Description
We are a Birmingham-based software house looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to own architecture, technical direction, and best practices for our small, high-performing development team. You will have real influence over our architecture and tooling while joining a friendly, agile, and innovative team. This role is hybrid, with 2 days a week in our Birmingham offices, and comes with a competitive salary of £70k plus benefits.
