Requirements
Must:
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS)
- Hands-on expertise with vendor platforms: Juniper, Cisco, etc.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, etc.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage your own workload
- Understanding of network security standards and scripting would be beneficial
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to design and implement high-performance solutions while leading technical problem resolution and providing support to junior engineers. Since this is a client-facing position, you will need excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You will work to identify and implement automation opportunities as part of the wider technical team and deliver the technical strategy while serving as the escalation point for queries within the Network Team. Additionally, you will research and evaluate new technologies and solutions, providing recommendations for service improvements.
Description
We are a well-established ISP in West Yorkshire with over 20 years of success, and we are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to help us continue this journey. This on-site role will be based in Bradford, and while there are flexi-time opportunities available, please feel free to discuss any specific flexibility needs with us.
