Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in IT operations, system administration, or cyber security.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Azure).
- Proficiency in Windows Server/Active Directory.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
- Familiarity with security tools, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Experience with security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Defender and Mimecast.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across complex IT environments.
- Experience in Compliance, IT Governance, and Change Management.
- Relevant professional certifications are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, and secure our multi-site core IT infrastructure.
- Ensure systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs in both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Identify opportunities to modernize, streamline, and improve infrastructure services.
- Collaborate with IT colleagues to ensure a secure, efficient, and resilient IT environment.
Description
We are a successful company with a multi-billion-pound yearly turnover, seeking a skilled Infrastructure and Security Engineer to join our established IT team in Leeds. The role is hybrid, requiring a few days in the office each week. We offer a competitive salary between £45,000 - £55,000 plus bonus, a 37-hour work week, and great benefits. This includes 25 days of holiday plus 5 days of study leave, professional development opportunities, a 5% employer pension, income protection, private medical, death in service benefits, and more.
