Requirements
Must:
- Strong C++ experience on Linux
- Significant embedded software engineering experience
- Familiarity with build environments such as OpenEmbedded, Bitbake, and Makefiles
- Knowledge of networking protocols like UDP and TCP/IP
- Experience with analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
- Understanding of Linux Kernel and CLI tools
- Proficiency in BASH scripting
- Basic knowledge of Python
- Experience with real-time multi-threaded software concepts
- Familiarity with U-Boot and Wt web GUI library
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and specifications
- Develop and maintain C++ software solutions for embedded systems
- Work with build environments and ensure software is compiled correctly
- Conduct testing and debugging of software to ensure functionality and performance
- Utilize analysis tools to diagnose and resolve networking issues
- Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Document software design and development processes for future reference
- Assist in the integration of front-end and back-end systems using Wt
Description
We are offering a 9-month contract for a C++ Linux Software Engineer based in Wimbledon, London. This role will allow you to work remotely two days a week after an initial period of onboarding.
