Requirements
Must:
- Proven applied data science experience in commercial or CRM environments, focusing on delivering models that drive customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end solutions, from ideation and experimentation through to production deployment and ongoing monitoring.
- Hands-on experience developing player value models or similar customer lifetime value models.
- Strong proficiency with large-scale data analytics to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Solid development skills in Python for data science, prototyping, and model development.
- Proficiency in SQL, including advanced use of window functions, partitions, and complex aggregations.
- Experience with PySpark for distributed processing and scalable data workflows.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, emphasizing reproducibility and best coding practices.
- Pragmatic, detail-oriented thinker with the ability to deliver business value quickly without compromising technical quality.
- Comfortable working with ambiguous or evolving requirements, shaping them into clear, testable hypotheses.
- Strong commercial awareness and interest in how data models impact key business metrics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional, multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working in a cloud environment (GCP, AWS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern tooling such as Airflow, Docker, and containerized deployments is desirable.
- Interest or prior experience in the eGaming sector, especially Sports Betting, Casino, Poker, or Bingo is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms, taking projects from ideation through to live production.
- Collaborate closely with other Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to align models and solutions with commercial objectives.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights, presenting findings in a commercially impactful way.
- Extract and interpret business insights, providing clear, data-driven recommendations to influence decision-making.
- Pre-process and prepare both structured and unstructured data for analytics and modeling.
- Research and experiment with new methods, technologies, and tools, integrating the best from the wider data science community into our work.
- Communicate clearly about methodologies, assumptions, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Occasional travel to other Entain offices may be required.
