Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Products (Windows OS, Office)
- Experience with Cloud Platforms (Microsoft 365)
- Familiarity with Apple devices (iPads, MacBooks, Macs)
- Skilled in Desktop & Mobile Device Support
- Knowledge of Peripheral Support (whiteboards, A/V, etc.)
- Experience with Print Management Solutions
- Proficiency in Image Build & Deployment Tools
- Understanding of Server Infrastructure
- Knowledge of Backup Procedures (cloud & on-premise)
- Familiarity with Anti-Virus Solutions
- Excellent communication skills to explain technology clearly to non-technical users
Responsibilities
As an IT Support Engineer, I will have you delivering onsite support across Blackburn, Bolton, and surrounding areas. You will cover a wide range of technologies, including on-premise solutions, cloud technologies, wireless networking, and classroom tech to ensure teaching and learning continue smoothly. You will spend either half or full days at each school, taking ownership of systems, resolving issues, and delivering excellent service. Your role will require you to manage support incidents from start to finish, keeping users informed, and meeting SLA targets, all while enjoying the flexibility of a provided company vehicle with a fuel card.

We are a trusted technology provider dedicated to supporting schools across Lancashire. We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer who is ready to step away from the corporate grind and make a real difference for teachers and pupils in a professional setting without the corporate pressure. The position offers a salary range of £27k to £30k, with hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
